Baltimore, MD – Cygnus Business Media's Firehouse announced the debut of MyFirehouseTraining.com, an online learning platform designed to provide training, coursework and CEU credits for firefighters. The announcement was made on the opening day of Firehouse Expo, the annual industry event for fire, rescue and EMS professionals produced by the Cygnus Public Safety Group.
Recently Safety Solutions received an amazing testimony from a former student that attended our training courses. His story really captures Safety Solutions mission of helping you be prepared for any situation. Here is his account of a recent situation his unit assisted with:
I attended the USAR series in Ocala in June of 2010. I joined a technical rescue operations team in Cumberland County, PA. This rescue occurred on Tuesday December 14th. One victim was rescued alive, but sadly one deceased victim was recovered as well. I was part of the shoring team and would like to thank you and your instructors for such quality training that allowed me to be effective at this incident. Chief Ken Craft had the forward thinking begin to prepare the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department for many of the hazards we often encounter today. Safety Solutions assisted by providing cutting edge, hands on, emergency response training in the areas of Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue, and Structural Collapse Rescue.
Safety Solutions Inc. has entered into a contract with the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) which the Federal Emergency Management Agency
will utilize in order to have 28 Federal Urban Search and Rescue teams
trained. Working in the wake of disasters – natural or otherwise – these
groups will rely on Safety Solutions’ training to ensure they are
equipped to do their jobs as effectively as possible.
