The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized on-scene incident management concept designed specifically to allow responders to adopt an integrated organizational structure equal to the complexity and demands of any single incident or multiple incidents without being hindered by jurisdictional boundaries. This course will provide the student the opportunity to learn the essential skill set in developing a team, a chain of command, and the resources available in the event an incident occurs. 40 hour course
- Course Enabling Objectives
At the completion of this course the student will:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of personnel assigned to the Operations Section of an incident.
- Explain the fundamentals of the incident operations in the disaster environment
- Develop proficiency at gathering and reporting necessary documentation, and ensure intelligence reporting is met in a timely manner.
- Understand the proper assignment and use of resources necessary to meet the assigned operational objectives
