In order for an event to be successful,an organized and
well-orchestrated plan must be executed. Working as either
the Technical Information Specialist or the Planning Team
Manager,this training course will provide the tools necessary
to gather pertinent information and develop strategic
roadmaps utilizing various resources such as GPS,
cartography and video equipment.

• Course Enabling Objectives
  At the completion of this course the student will:
  
  • Define the roles of the Planning Team Manager and Technical Information Specialist
  • Demonstrate understanding of the Planning process
  • Be capable of developing Task Force Action Plans (TAP)
  • Demonstrate understanding of proper scene documentation including still and video capability
  • Demonstrate understanding of cartography and GPS use in the development of planning tools
  • Practice the interaction of the Planning Team Manager and Technical Information Specialist in performing the US&R Task Force planning and information-gathering functions
