- Flashover Survival TRAINING
Flashover is the temperature in a compartment or room which results in the simultaneous ignition of all combustible contents in the space. This course will teach you to develop a working definition of a flashover, understand the 3 phases of flashover development, identify the 5 signs of an impending flashover, and identify factors which can influence the development of a flashover. Most importantly, firefighters will learn how to limit flashover development under realistic fire conditions along with understanding the limitations of modern day structural firefighting gear.
Live Fire Vent-Enter-Search (VES) TRAINING An innovative new class offered ONLY by Safety Solutions Inc. Live Fire VES will teach you the difference between venting for life and venting for fire. Firefighters will learn where to initiate the VES process and when this life-saving technique can be utilized. Tactics will be discussed, reviewed, and then initiated under extreme heat conditions. The course will focus on ventilation and search techniques under realistic high-stress and highheat conditions. VES will be conducted under Live Fire Flashover conditions.
