Features
- This course is a must for emergency services personnel and Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) members in particular. Firefighter Survival - Rope course utilizes equipment carried by the firefighter and addresses structural anchor point attachments and “makeshift”anchor point attachments comprised of Halligan bars, pike poles, axes, etc. Students will be familiarized with the Firefighter Survival - Rope equipment,practice tying off to the bombproof and “pseudo”anchors, and practice window bailouts under both normal conditions and limited visibility conditions. Students must have good basic rope skills prior to attending a Firefighter Survival - Rope course. All students will need to supply their own helmet, turnout coat, turnout pants, turnout boots, gloves, and protective eyewear. Students will also need to provide their own complete,working Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and mask. SCBA cylinders must have current hydrostatic test stamp/sticker.
